About

Since my recent retirement after 28 years with the same company, there is more time for gardening and I thought it would be fun to start this blog. My terraced garden is situated on a steep hillside overlooking the Mississippi River. It includes a diverse collection of perennials, annuals, vegetables and herbs. Giant white pines shade a patio with a simulated spring flowing from the rocks. Another area includes a rock garden. Some of the stone walls are ideal for climbing vines such as clematis. I’m a member of Bluff Country Master Gardeners in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and a favorite volunteer project of mine is tending the flower gardens at the Prairie Moon Museum and Sculpture Gardens  http://www.kohlerfoundation.org/rusch.html  five miles north of where I live in Fountain City, Wisconsin.
